It was to pretty today not to take pictures. Blue sky and wind blowing across the lake. This maybe the last warm beautiful day this year.

For the past 36 years, the Hasting Museum in Nebraska has hosted a Festival of Trees event where schools and organization decorate trees to displays. Below are a few of the trees.

Each year the Stuhr Museum host a tree display. The trees are decorated by schools and local organizations. Below are a few of the 2018 trees:

Pictures of all the trees are available on my Photos By Sarah Facebook page. Also, you can find 360 Videos of some of the trees: East Side – West Side.
I made three trays of these Reese Peanut Butter Cup trees and they were gone like hot cakes.

When they asked from more, this happened.

Then the engineers in the group asked for plans and specifications for building the trees. I provided them with this document.

Just a couple days before the first freeze the temperature was in the 80s. When it snowed a couple of inches and the temperature dropped to 23 degrees over night, the trees goes “Yipes! We are suppose to be hibernating for the winter.” So, the leaves on the trees start turning colors and dropping to the ground quickly. Yes, Fall is here!

This is the park that host the annual Praise In The Park event. It looks different with 20,000 less people visiting.

I am so glad that Spring is finally here. It was a long Winter. Tomorrow starts my travels to Southern States. I hope to get some great photos.

What is there to do in Memphis, Tennessee that doesn’t involve music, where you can take picture and be outside on a summer day? After many web searches, I found it! The Memphis Botanical Gardens.
This place was huge, several different gardens, lots of plants, and plenty of photos opportunities. And, it was hot, but very quiet and relaxing. There is plenty to see in the gardens.

I finally got to visit Arbor Day Farms. It has been on my stop list during previous travel adventures, but something always happened and I had to readjust my plans. Now, my only regret is that I was not able to spend more time here. A few hours does not allow you to explore the entire area.
Arbor Day Farms is the birthplace of Arbor Day. Julius Sterling Morton moved to Nebraska in 1954 and decided to start planting trees.

Monday, I was stuck inside all day due to freezing rain. Tuesday, the weather man said it would be a good day to go out and take pictures, if you had a good camera. He was wrong about the camera. It was a good day to take pictures. However, I did have to dodge falling ice.
